Well, wow, where to begin...This year’s 2015 VW Festival has been so successful that hundreds of tweets are still flying around the social media circuit faster than Damani Marcano on a top speed test!
Harewood House is still resonating from the sights and sounds of over 20,000 people blissfully soaking up the musical, magical and motor powered phenomenon that has become one of the most popular family and canine friendly events in the North of England. This year we had the amazingly talented racing driver Damani Marcano talking about his passion for racing, presenter Paul Woodford hosting a spectacular show and shine set and hugely entertaining DJ sessions alongside some of the region’s top singers.
Let’s not forget the fantastic variety of themed trade stands, circus acts and motor art workshops during the day and boy did our crowd dig deep for this year’s charity raffle in aid of Cash for Kids, which raised a record breaking £18,000 plus for the charity all in the hope of winning this year’s cherished VW Beetle, brought lovingly back to life for its new owner by Herbie Hospital in Leeds.
Pretty soon we’ll all be talking about what’s in store for VW Festival 2016 but for now, take a rest and enjoy the many, many spectacular images from this year’s 80s themed weekend!
