Family Camping Area

This year we have a clearly separate, designated FAMILY Camping area, and spaces for this area will be limited and prebooked. You must specify on booking which ticket you require, HOWEVER please note family camping is just that, and is for families! By popular request the rules around noise and behaviour will be far stricter than those for MAIN camping.

We reserve the right to redirect you to MAIN camping if we don't feel that you satisfy the criteria for FAMILY camping. We want to enhance the experience for our FAMILY visitors, as they are at the heart of the event. We have always valued the family feel of our show, and it simply isn't fair for young children to be kept awake at night by groups of non-family campers.

Both camping areas will have specific wrist bands, and access to the Family Camping area will be manned by security checking wristbands throughout the weekend.

Main Camping Area

This year we have a much larger allocation of space for MAIN camping, for those of you that attended in 2011 it is on the left hand side of the main driveway and is used for concerts and game fayres throughout the year. Some would say an area of outstanding natural beauty to rival that of even the main North Front show field.

Please read the camping rules below.

Fancy Dress - BEACH

We strongly encourage fancy dress at VW Festival. In the past we've had Chewbacca, Storm Troopers, 60's and 70's throwbacks, German Commandants, a troop of Smurfs, and even 6 foot tall babies :)

The theme for VW Festival 2012 will be the BEACH. Bring your Hawiian Shirts and bermuda shorts, and it's grass skirts and bikinis for the girls.
