Hi guys...just a word to thank you
for the weekend...despite the weather and more endless
trouble with the samba had a great time...
re: thoughts on festival...needs to be a FULL two day
event...other than that i reckon it will grow and grow...I
will compose a song about the festival and you lot and
will certainly put it on the next album which we will
start in september...
Talk to you soon....and thanks again for having us.....see
you at VanFest no doubt...come up and drink some beer
with us!!! Druid - Druids Brew |

Enjoyed the weekend especially Saturday
evening, pass on our thanks to everyone involved who looked
after us a treat. Paul Williams - The Forty

Fantastic show, although the rain
came, we had an awesome day. The pitch you gave us was
in a great spot and generated huge amounts of interest
in our company.
Its the first show we have been to for promotion, and
we will certainly be there again. thanks again Ian

Pretty good day financially so will
definately be back next year and not many were complaining
about the weather. Amanda Johnson |

I had a good day on sunday, the weather
did put a downer on the day to start with but it got better
when it cleared up! My only critisism that it wasn't in
front of the house like it has previously. There is probably
a good explanation for this but i think that having it
in fornt of the house is a trademark for the show. But
all in all a good day for all to enjoy and the mud added
to it!
Congrats to all that organised it! Ellie &
Jamie |

First of all thanks to all concerned
for, what turned out in the end to be, a great show. From
a trading perspective we did very well despite only trading
on the Sunday.
Toilets! Always an issue at outdoor events, they were
plenty of them and they were clean BUT, you had to walk
through a bog (pardon the pun) to get to them.
Thanks again for a great show Geoff Bottomley

Ay up! Well done with the show matey!

Thumbs up to your event. As a trader,
the weather didn't help, but I had a reasonable day despite
it. I could also see the potential for growth and would
like to come next year. Harewood House is a great backdrop
for you.
Hope to see you in 2008, Julie Ashcroft -

Got to say, this is a first, organisers
asking for feedback. well done!
Certain things were out of your control, apart from that
i have no bad comments, other than the sat nav taking
us down a dead end...i don`t know if anyone else had this?
Turnover we did OK, what we expected. this is our first
year doing VW shows, so all shows we attend this year
are our first, but we`ll be coming back again next year.

I was selling my Vintage Spot/Fog
Lights and drumming up orders for my new wooden Steering
Wheels. Thanks to all those who ordered on the day,WELL
worth the visit. Laurence - MagpieMotobilia |

Thanks for having us at your show
once again this year - and thank you for being so accommodating
about changing our pitch size at the last minute. We arrived
at about 8.15am and had no problems being directed to
our plot, we found where we needed to be very easily.
I was a bit unsure about being right next to another stall
selling T shirts at first but as it transpired, it didn't
seem to detract from our business at all and we were approx
40% up on last years takings. If the weather had been
good, I suspect that we may have ended up about 60-70%+
up on last year.
We much preferred the layout of this years show and it
seemed a LOT bigger than last year. We were impressed
at just how many people turned out, despite the terrible
weather.
Looking forward to next year already :-) Bev

As i have attended VW Festival on
a personal level for the last few years i know how good
the show is but this is the first year i have attended
with our new business.
The weather spoilt things a bit and we all know some people
will wake up in the morning and just not even bother to
attend because of the rain etc.
Cracking cars, helpful boys and girls showing us and our
customers to our stand.
We had a cracking day, we didnt sell on the day but just
had a static display; We started our company at the start
of the year and used the show to display our work and
hand out leaflets and chat to people.
On monday and all through this week we have had phone
calls and work from new customers who talked to us at
the show, so for this we thank you very much !!!!!!
We had a great day and my cheeks still hurt from laughing
at people getting stuck in the mud, people falling over
in the mud and having a good old laugh with customers
etc
Great show, fingures crossed for the weather next year,
keep up the good work, We will be trading there next year

We enjoyed the show, thought it might
have been a bit touch and go with the weather, but turned
out fine in regards to trading for us.
Liked the layout of this years show, especially with the
show and shine being in the centre with the traders around
the outside, we felt part of the show, and got to see
all the vehicles etc. We trade at these events to move
any products we have remaining from the previous winter/fall,
or current spring/summer season, and offer upto 60% off
products on sale. It may be worth while advertising the
traders that will be in attendance and the type of products
they are selling?
It would be great if the show could be over 2 days with
camping Fri, Sat night for all, however showers would
be neccesary.
How many people attended this year? - it seems very popular
despite the weather. Michelle - Option 50/50

Well what can we say except ... must
do better with the weather next time!!! We enjoyed it
a lot (as did the rest of our family members who tented).
We managed to sell a couple of awnings and have already
had an email for a possible 3rd - but the feedback was
very encouraging and quite a few people are looking at
buying from us at Vanfest - so mustn't grumble.
Well done to all, we shall certainly be at your next one!!

What a shame about the weather, I
am amazed we had no leaks! We thought the show was very
well organised and had a good layout.
Traders could have included more auto jumble, more good
retro stuff, and more food wagons, but on the whole there
was quite a good mix.
The show seemed a lot bigger and a lot better than last
year, this years field was much better. We were so pleased
to see campers with cars and tents and not just in camper
vans. If it wasnt for the rain we would have been set
up and trading much earlier on the saturday! Overall we
were pleased with what we took, especially after having
to get up in the middle of the night and bash water off
the roof of the stall, we thought no one would turn up!
Most other traders I talked to were fairly happy with
their takings also.
Hope to see you next year! Paula Firth "the
clock woman" - Rig out |

Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances
I didn’t manage to have a stand. I did still attend
the show from Saturday onwards and had a fantastic time.
I was worried that the 620 mile round trip from the kent
coast would spoil the weekend but it didn’t, the
trip was well worth it……. I thought the show
was of a good size with plenty of auto jumble, nicely
set out displays and show n shine with some great cars
in attendance.
Security were also good as gold, polite and cheerful which
made a very welcome change.
The only thing I thought was lacking was the amount of
water cooled parts traders.
I really enjoyed the weekend and will be back next year
for sure. Many thanks for all your hard work, Tom
Newbold |

Lovely to meet you guys. The only
bad thing was the weather, and unfortunely from a traders
point of view, people just do not want to spend when they
are wet, muddy and miserable. Trade for us wasnt great,
although I can see the potential for it being a fab show.
I couldn't believe how many people turned out for it.
Look forward to next year.

Thoroughly enjoyed the show despite
the weather. Andrew Burrows |

It was a great show - shame about
the weather.. could have done with a few more food stalls
or some that charged more reasonable prices... graffiti
artists were top! shame that druids brew had engine trouble
but its all par for the course... would defo come back
next year (pray for sunshine) was an all round well put
together weekend :D Apryl Whittaker |

Hey there, Was a good show considering
the weather - perhaps something like sand or straw would
be a good idea if weather like this year comes about again.
Cheers for the overall good show - please make sure the
SEATs get in some pics this year :) Pete Hudson |

Excellent show even if the weather
didnt play! out i was there with the rest of our crew
(Aire Valley Dubs). i thought there was a good turn out
or it seemed it to say how damp it was. this has got to
be one of the best shows in england as its up north! and
always feels relaxed and chilled out. Big thankyou to
all those who helped on the day and made it run smoothly
cheers guys n gals!! Richard Booth |

Very good show mate, just a shame
about the weather! Although even that added to some of
the fun. I've no doubt a lot of us will be back next year
for another one. Chris Hunter |
| |
Brilliant show despite very bad weather, can't
believe how many people attended, shows how dedicated vdubbers
are, loved the air/watercooled mix great atmosphere and
very well organised despite the mud(it did make it more
fun tho),a credit to you all,i've been to both previous
shows and they just get better.looking forward to next
years already! Chris Gilbank |

Do you have the dates for next years
2008 event?? I loved the show but need to book time off

Good show, enjoyed it very much. In
all a bit expensive but a good day and I will be supporting
the show next year. C Wierzbianski |
| |
The show this year was better than
the last - can't wait till you get it in to a full weekender!
Could have done with a Mic and speakers all round the
show so you could hear the results of the Show and Shine.
It would have been nice to hear the judges reasons for
picking the winners..
Awesome.. well done to all! Benjamin Rowe |
| |
Loved the show yet again weather didnt
put us off brillaint show, will be coming back nexy year

Great show, amazin cars! Looking forward
to VW Festival 2008. Kim Roberts |

Not quite as good as last year, but
I suppose you can blame the weather for that! Really enjoyed
the weekend though..
The music tent was great, and offered somne alternative
entertainment - keep this up! Thanks and keep up the good
work - hopefully things will keep getting better!

It was my first time to vw festival
and really enjoyed it although I will be getting mud from
places for weeks to come...definately coming next year,
please book the sun in advance Lisa |
| |
What a great day well organised and
good lay out of cars, Show & Shine, Trade area and
camping. This is the first year that we have gone to the
VW Festival despite all the rain sat night and up till
dinner time Sunday. It was a fantastic day very surprised
at the number of people that turned up will be going 2008
that’s for sure. Neville Armstrong |

Cheers for a great show shame about
the weather early on but to be honest I dont think it
affected us at all. nice to see a lot more traders this
year and the balance of water over air balanced a little
more.
Many Many Thanks www.Durrhamdubbers.co.uk |

Really pleased that you are aiming
for this to become a two day show. We camped on the Saturday
night in the family area. Overall we enjoyed the Sunday
despite the weather.
We thought the show had one of the best atmospheres of
any show we have attended in the last year including vanfest,
this is a real credit to the organisers.
Overall we thought it was great, the weather was out of
your control, the traders were a good mix, the club stands
were great and being supported by a VW main dealer really
added to it. This is our third year and we will definately
back next year.
You should all take credit for what you have put together

Fantastic show despite the weather
on sunday. enjoyed the graffiti section. great to see
old and new bugs together.

Well done guys, good event despite
the weather. Lets press on and make this a 2 dayer Tim |

Although the weather wasn't great,
both me the wife and our dog (Dubz!) had the time of our
lives. Only regret we had was not having our mk2 ready
in time to drive down in, we ended up coming in our 1991
german import cabby which we hate putting miles on, as
its only got 55000 on the clock from new. But all in all
a fantastic day with plenty of air cooled classics as
well as some new water cooled classics. Great Job dont
forget to let me know when tickets are ready for next
year!!! Scott
